Notice on fraudulent job offers in the United States

We have been made aware of individual pretending to be employees or associates of CLINUVEL PHARMACEUTICALS LTD (“CLINUVEL”) making fraudulent job offers in the United States (US). Correspondence often involves an unsolicited approach, interviews being conducted online, and requests for sensitive personal and financial information, including asking applicants to provide social security numbers, copies of driver’s licenses and other personal information.

Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated scam offering fake job opportunities to job seekers. This type of fraud is normally carried out through online services such as job posting websites, false websites, or through fake e-mails claiming to be from job posting websites or CLINUVEL. The fraudsters often request recipients to provide personal information and/or make payments as part of their fake recruiting process. In some instances, fraudsters have asked applicants to deposit checks on their behalf.

CLINUVEL does not collect any financial commitment from candidates as a pre-employment requirement, nor do we require applicants to make payment or deposit checks on our behalf. Our recruitment process will always involve an in-depth discussion with an identifiable member of staff.

Fraudulent job offers often ask for financial or personal information early in the process. CLINUVEL does not ask for any financial commitment or contribution from a candidate at any stage of the recruitment process. All communications from CLINUVEL personnel are done through a CLINUVEL email (xxx@clinuvel.com) or through recognised third party recruitment firms. We do not use personal emails (such as gmail) for company communications.

CLINUVEL has no responsibility for fraudulent offers and advises candidates to contact law enforcement agencies.
