Corporate Overview

Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Limited is a Melbourne based biopharmaceutical company focused on developing its leading drug candidate afamelanotide (CUV1647).

Currently in Phase II and Phase III clinical trials, afamelanotide is being developed as a preventative photoprotective agent for five clinical applications:

1. Polymorphous Light Eruption (PLE)
2. Aktinic Keratosis (AK) and Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)
3. Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP)
4. Solar Urticaria (SU)
5. Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

We hold the view that afamelanotide (CUV1647) has the potential to improve the quality of life of patients and change behaviour of people worldwide.

 

 

Expertise

Clinuvel has in-depth expertise and knowledge on skin and skin disorders, the biophysical effects of UV and light, and pigmentation and melanin.

As we grow, more information will become available on these topics, and we aim to share our knowledge online with all of Clinuvel's interested stakeholders.
